Eric Michael has been promoted to editor of Sport Diver magazine

Eric Michael has been promoted to Editor of Sport Diver, the magazine announced today. Michael brings a long tradition of quality journalism to his new top post, along with a passion for diving.

Promoted from Senior Editor, Michael will now work on all editorial aspects of the Bonnier Corp. title. In his new role, he promises to refine the content of the magazine and its website, with inspiration and relevancy that showcase the very best of diving, while staying true to Sport Diver's mission of keep divers diving.

Ty Sawyer, Sport Diver's Editorial Director, has high praise for Michael. "Eric is a top-notch magazine guy with a great vision for the brand and a great passion for our sport."

The promotion of Michael also allows Sawyer to focus on the sport's growth initiatives with the magazine's marketing partners and within the dive community.

Before joining Sport Diver full-time, Michael served as a senior writer for Bonnier Corp.'s Water Sports Group, providing features and other editorial support for several titles. He worked for the Orlando Sentinel for 12 years prior to joining Bonnier, including as a columnist for action, outdoor and water-sports enthusiasts.
